About Our Practice

Real Estate

  • Purchases
  • Sales
  • Mortgage Refinancing
  • Transfers of Ownership

Deeble & Persaud Law is a client-centred boutique firm. We focus on building a solid relationship directly with you, rather than legal assistants performing the majority of the work on your file. Our lawyers complete your real estate transaction from beginning to end, meet with you to sign all closing documents and go over the signed documents in detail.

Family Law

Deeble & Persaud Law recognizes that many family law matters, such as divorce, can be difficult to say the least. We are here to assist you through trying times with the tact and sensitivity your matter deserves.

  • Marriage Contracts
  • Cohabitation Agreements
  • Separation Agreements
  • Divorce (contested, uncontested)
  • Custody and Access Matters

Deeble & Persaud can also help if you are creating a family using assisted human reproduction technologies (AHRTs). We recommend that you seek legal advice prior to signing an arrangement for services with a private fertility clinic. We also recommend that you seek legal advice if you are contemplating a surrogacy arrangement, whether you are a surrogate mother or a commissioning parent. If you have a child of AHRT, you may also wish to seek legal advice with respect to your legal status as parent.

Mr. Deeble will be pleased to meet with you to discuss your AHRT legal concerns.

Wills, Powers of Attorney and Estates

  • Wills
  • Power of Attorney - Property
  • Power of Attorney - Personal Care
  • Appointment of Estate Trustee
  • Preparing notarial copies of a will, death certificate, etc.

We appreciate that wills and powers of attorney are an important step in the management of your family's financial and legal affairs. In fact, wills and powers of attorney are among the most important documents you will create in your lifetime.

A valid, carefully planned will protects your assets from being taxed excessively and limits the amount of probate fees payable by your estate. It ensures that your estate is shared among those you have chosen, in the way you have chosen.

Your Power of Attorney for Personal Care is a living will document. It gives the authority to one or more trusted persons to make medical decisions on your behalf in critical circumstances, where you may be unable to provide informed medical consent.

If you fill in our Will/Power of Attorney Questionnaire, we will provide drafts of your will and/or power of attorney via e-mail for your review and feedback. Our questionnaire serves as a starting point in preparing your will and/or power of attorney. This way you will have the time to review these sensitive documents prior to finalizing them at our offices.

You can download and fill in our Will/Power of Attorney Questionnaire form and return it to our offices by email or facsimile. There is no obligation and the questionnaire is free. If you would like to arrange a house call to discuss your wishes for your will or power of attorney, contact us.

Since every case of estate administration is unique, please contact us. We would be pleased to work with you and your family to achieve the optimal plan for your estate.

* Please note that final versions of  a will or power of attorney must be signed and witnessed in our offices.
